So the election is over...Some are happy..some are mad. Well I say lets deal with it go on ! I have tried to get interested in politics but each time I do it makes me physically sick.
Let me state that I have always (this time included) voted for the people I feel did the best job or that I think will do a better job than the incumbent in the position at the time. When in this country are we going to forget about political parties and vote our conscience? Maybe we did a little better this time but we have a long way to go.
I partially blame the Internet for a lot of the chaos in this nation. As soon as the last election was over the e-mails and videos started, and not a day goes by I don't receive several. The thing about the Internet that people don't realize is it doesn't have to be true or factual (but that fits right in with politicians).
Now I know I sound like a crybaby democrat but like I stated before..give me a reason and I'll vote either way. I just have a problem with voting party lines for the sake of voting party lines. Every bill or amendment is judged ,not by what the people may want ,but what the party in power may want. I'm no Einstein but I'm betting not every Democrat in every state was against the last Republican bill proposed and the same the other way. Ask around... ask all your friends...ask people on the street...when was the last time some government office holder ask you your opinion on matters? (oversimplified?..of course) but you get my message.
We have strip tears and breakdowns in the mill all the time. When these happen It always leads to a bunch of finger pointing and blaming... Why didn't he do this ? or You should have done this ! My answer is always the same.. Here we are guys .. don't matter how or why, lets just get it fixed and get running again. All of the grumbling gets us nowhere.
This may sound a little out of context but I think it fits the problems in this country to a tee. "We" as a country voted these people in from the big O on down so instead of sending degrading e-mails to each other ..lets send e-mails to our 'chosen ones' and let them know what we think. In other words ..'Let's fix it and get it running' That's what I vow to do...(at least until I'm too sick to type lol) and if an anti political windbag like me can do it ..I'm sure we all can !
