Everybody seems to be having problems with moles
in their yards this year. I'm hearing it's because of the
locust coming this year and the moles are seeking out
their larva. I don't know about that but I do know how
they feel after the last few days.
For the last four days we have been burrowing, burying
and covering the earth surrounding our campers in
preparation for electricity being run in the area.
Personally I can do without it but I guess it will be nice
not to have to listen to the generator run when electricity
is needed. Not sure the convenience is worth the effort
though. In the last couple weeks we have drilled and set
two power poles, installed a 200 amp service box and
meter, dug over three hundred feet of trench, buried
nine hundred feet of conduit and wire, installed four 30A
camper hook-up poles and boxes and a couple of extra
lines for lights. Then covered the whole mess up and
planted grass seed. Digging was not that bad, we rented
a trencher.. covering was good old fashioned shovels and
rakes. Hard part is over, now just wait on the power
company to run the lines to us. I shot a couple photos
just for reference in case there is a problem later..........
