Our incredible shrinking world. Seems the only things
that aren't shrinking these days are my waistline and large
fountain drinks !
Thin bacon: Purchased a package of bacon the other day.
This morning, upon opening it I discovered it was a twelve
ounce package. Hmm a twelve ounce pound of bacon..
That was really no surprise. I usually check that before I
buy. I guess I was in a rush. BUT .. It was the thin part
that startled me. It was like a picture of a slice of bacon.
Thin is not the word for it .. It was like something that
could have been used as a skin graft on a pig in a burn
center ! Next time .. buy thick.....
Pizza: Growing up if you bought a large pizza you had
leftovers for breakfast. No more.. Smalls are personal..
mediums are small.. large is medium and super extra large
are almost as big as the old time large was. And the single
slice trays went from twenty four slices to sixteen with
only a slight price increase.
Don't even get me started on candy bars and such. I almost
wear myself out opening all the wrappers just to get a
taste of candy. Although they do at least offer the larger bars
If you have good credit and don't mind making payments.
Ok that's off of my chest. Now maybe I can nap in peace !
