You've nothing to fear but fear itself... (and the Boogie man)

Have you ever actually seen the Boogie man?  I mean in the flesh?  I'm sure we have all felt his presence in a dark unfamiliar places.  But have you actually seen him?  I didn't think so. This lends me to believe that there is no such being, at least in the physical sense.  I think the Boogie man is a fear that lives inside of each of us and only shows his/her ugly head when we we find ourselves in a position of fear or uncertainty.
The Boogie man doesn't always seek to do bodily harm to us.  Sometimes just the fact that he can get inside our head is enough to cause us terrible stress and fear to the point where we are forced to react.
My advice ..  Don't fear the Boogie man .  By all means  be aware of his presence.  If you are somewhere you are uncomfortable and you feel his presence .. be aware.. but not afraid.  If you are going through something in your life that you are uncomfortable with or just simply something that doesn't feel right... by all means step back and take a broader look.  You'll probably find that like the Boogie man it is more in your mind than in the physical sense.  That is not to say you shouldn't heed his warning.  That is a decision we each have to make for ourselves.
I have had many Boogie man episodes in my life , and I suspect I will have many more.  I have done things that I know in my heart were just and proper but someone or something told me differently.  I got scared.  And I made some bad choices.  The Boogie man got me.  I think he was put in my head to do just that.  I should have listened to him, stepped back , reevaluated the situation and just carried on knowing I was doing nothing wrong.  But his will is strong and the fear he instills is real So he wins... this time.    Perhaps the Boogie man is putting doubts in your mind as we speak.  Maybe I'm the Boogie man..   Maybe he has taken over my thought process...  Maybe i'm just rambling.........
