That's right... I'm bored. I had a rough day and winding down is never easy for me. One would think that after a bad day it would be a blessing to just go to bed and relax. Sleep is not a friend on mine. I almost dread having to go to bed at night, I'm sitting here now wondering what kind of mischief the Dream weavers have in store for me tonight? I hope they are kind tonight.
My day started with the dryer taking a crap. Not even all my tinkering and pounding with various sized hammers could get it going again. (appliance repairman my _$$) So after a marathon of beating twisting and cussing I give up and come upstairs to discover a running toilet. (No it didn't run far) That's going to take some parts and since I have to go out to the mall at two to get my second Covid shot I'll just buy everything in one fell swoop.
Okay .. first stop Health clinic. For our first shot there were six people ahead of us. In and out in twenty minutes. This time, cattle gates set up and a line longer than Chick-Fill-A on free chicken day ! Over an hour wait. Now for someone that has never had a flu shot.. shingle shot or any other shots, this is a true test of my commitment. Now I know there are many people that have many thoughts on this vaccine and I won't neither promote it nor denounce it . It is each individuals decision. I made my choice very reluctantly but I believe I made the right one for me. One bit of humor in it all was a FB post where a guy said he wouldn't take it because he didn't know what was in it. Someone answered." You've been eating hot dogs and chicken McNuggets all these years and now your worried about what is in something?" Final thought ..Do what you think is right for you. Don't let the Media or political views sway you either way. #justdoyou
Ok second stop. My favorite store (sarcasm) Lowes. Ahh such a large selection of dryers. All shiny and new.... and out of stock! Two in store and available .. a front loader for a thousand dollars and a new made in China model that I wouldn't take home if it was free. Order now.. have one by May. If anybody remembers my refrigerator ordeal from last summer I tried that .. Postponed twice , four months later it never did come in . I don't have that many pair of underwear to wait four months for a dryer.
Over to the plumbing department where they had just about, almost, pretty near close to everything I needed for the toilet job. No scrimping here.. That's something I definitely can't wait months for. Did scrounge up enough parts to do the repair. All's well that ends well,
So tomorrow is dryer hunting day. Although my son has a spare in his garage so I may just put that one in and order the one my wife wants. Sad that we have so few options in this area anymore when it comes to appliances.
One quick question before I wander off to bed. Does anybody know when and how a dog learns to count? or is it just born into them naturally? I got out four treats at nine PM when I let the dogs out and gave them each one and put the other two on a plate on the coffee bar for in the morning. It's now midnight and this pup is still sitting here staring at me and whimpering. I get up and he runs straight to the coffee bar... HOW DOES HE KNOW !!!!!!
