I'm getting 'behint'

 

                                       Slow week of catching up !

Results of a bad mental week ..  And I had so many positive hopes !!

    Wow .. what tricks a persons mind can play on them when they think they have everything planned for a productive 'catch-up' week.  

    I have been so far behind on projects for the last month or so because of some medical issues and such.   And since I was feeling almost human again I thought this was going to be my week of redemption.  I have several videos that need to be done,  Several gifts I wanted to turn on the lathe for friends, a garden to be planted plus some much needed 'me' time fishing and camping and sprucing up the camper for the summer season.  I really did think I was ready.  I was mistaken.

    Physically I was ready.  Mentally I was no where near ready.  Remember when your favorite record would stick on a spot and not really skip but just linger in one spot until you bumped the stereo?  That was my mind this week.  It would wander off to some far away place and just sit there.  I guess it was a bit rusty from not being used much the last few weeks.  I did try soaking it in alcohol one evening at the campfire but that didn't work at all.  If anything it made it dig  deeper into the vinyl of my brain.  Things are a tad better the last couple days and I have been able to focus on a couple small projects.  If it doesn't rain too hard tomorrow I'm  going to try soaking it in some lake scenery.  Maybe that will loosen it up.   I did get the garden planted, grass cut and a couple repairs done on a friends rods and reels.  No wood turning yet and although I did set up the camera this evening I just couldn't bring myself to talk to it.  We did stare each other down for a good little while till the rain started and I had to pack up and come home.   That happens at times.  My Cannon is not very good at starting conversations.   Oh well .. tomorrow for sure.

    As far as videos go I need to do a video for our Cast Iron Wednesday series that I contribute to now and then before next Wednesday.  This month the goal is to cook some sort of breaded meat in cast iron.   Since my cooking skills are a bit weak I figure I'll do a catch & cook with fresh caught fish breaded and deep fried.  The cooking part will be easy .. the catching part may be a challenge  lol 

    I guess I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.  Let's get today and tomorrow under our belt and see how it goes.  Blood work in the morning so maybe they'll hit a gusher and drain me and I won't have to worry about the rest of the week ..lol
