This and that !

 This and that ...

        Halleluiah !!     It's long pants and hoodie weather here in Ohio again.  Our weather just went from eighty five to fifty five like it spotted a State Trooper...  So tired of clingy Tees and baggy shorts it's great to wear real clothes again !  I may not be able to hide my body's many flaws but I can at least mute them a little ..lol   Don't get me wrong.. I love hot weather and hate the cold.  I think i need a climate controlled bubble that only I can control.  Oh I guess my house is  my bubble.. but I like to venture out now and then. 

              Seasonal changes bring on many other changes as well.   In my You Tube world during the fall a lot of my hunting buddies turn their interests to hunting and such and post less often.  As winter sets in my  cooking friends step in to fill the void.  One would be surprised how many campfire cooks enjoy campfire cooking in the winter.  Hey You have to have a fire anyway.. why not cook something.    As spring rolls around everyone is chomping at the bit to get out of the house so the channels are filled with new gear reviews and camping videos. and the cycle continues.    The one thing that does change is the participants.  In the few years I've been doing this I have seen many people come and go.  What once was a tight little group sort of splits for various reasons and are replaced by new thirsty to learn newbies .  I think it's the constant change that keeps me interested,  Everybody can learn something from anyone. .new or old.  We still maintain our core followers but our support crew varies constantly  lol  I am thrilled to have a few loyal friends that follow my posts and comment on my videos and I try my best to return the favor.  I'm not exactly the most interesting person to follow  lol

Let the fall decorating begin !!                                                                                                                    

Cornstalks, pumpkins. gourds .straw bales, mums. painted thistle. flying witches and ghosts.  All have been purchased and placed around our house reminiscent of The Addams Family dwelling.   One more good storm should take care of that though...lol

Good ole USPS.

I defend the postal service all the time (although not their rates)   Until this week.   A few weeks ago I sent out two packages.  One to my daughter and one to a YT friend in Indiana.   The other day the package to my daughter was returned 'undeliverable'  Seems the mail carrier noticed the junk mail she had let build up for a couple weeks as a sort of protest. (such a little rebel)  and marked her mailbox vacant.  So that's $5.50 well spent.  The other package arrived the next day and although wrapped in bubble wrap and cradled in wadded up newspaper managed to get broken into several pieces.  This was not a fragile piece of art but a sturdy coffee mug.  Somebody worked pretty hard at breaking this one.. On a brighter note we have the greatest mail carrier on the planet here at home.   I AM WATCHING USPS !!!!!

PS  Mail lady just left and dropped off an envelope full of English flint sent from a friend in England  Across the pond. two different postal services .pass through customs. countless stopovers and nary a mark on the envelope.  Yet I can't get a package 2 hours away in Columbus... Amazing!
