New beginnings .....

New me .. New beginings !

It's a new year !   I am not going to declare any new year's resolutions.  Those never worked for the old me anyway.  Instead, the new me is going to employ the 'chip away' method.

Instead of declaring I'm going to eat healthy from now on I'm going to eat three cookies instead of six.

Instead of saying I'm not going to buy any more camping gear I'm going to limit my purchases to things I don't already have multiples of.

Instead of stockpiling food every time I go to the store I'm going to only replace the Ramens, Spam, tuna pouches and canned vegetables that I use that week thus rotating the stock on hand.

I am not going to fill my new truck with axes, tarps, tools, camping equipment and such as to have at least one seat open for a passenger at all times. (Should be a bit easier with a 4 dr Crew cab lol )  Only one tote of emergency supplies and one tote of tools in the bed is all I'm allowing myself.

I am going to rejuvenate my YouTube page and start making videos again. (yes, I lost interest for a while there) I really enjoyed the editing part but once again let the sniping and political rhetoric depress me in other's videos.  The new 'me' won't be paying any attention to that sort of thing anymore.  I've ended every one of my videos with "Be kind to one another" If they haven't gotten the message by now they are either incapable of it or flatly refuse so that's on them.  I can't be bothered with it !  I'm staying Happy and they'll just have to deal with it !

Don't expect these changes over night.  That's the beauty of the 'chip away' method.  It can take a while before you notice the change.  Less boo hoo pity me posts and videos and more upbeat content.  I've had some pretty gray clouds hanging over me these last few months but I'm sweeping those clouds out of the sky.  One at a time. Hopefully over time I'll see bright Skys again.
