Never again !

What a morning on the river ! kinda cool... foggy..little damp.
All make for a great fishing morning. The river has an eerie look
when there is a little fog and mist in the morning.
The air currents create swirls in the mist that almost look like
tiny tornadoes.

This morning in particular was special. Browns Island, just
north of Steubenville is covered with nothing more than piles
of cinders and iron ore and such. But not this morning...
This morning the piles poked their heads up through the
fog much like a mountain top pokes through the clouds.

As I fished several of the barge tie up cells in the area I
also noticed two female deer and four fawns quietly drinking
no more that fifty feet from my boat. The adult deer still
wore there light summer coats while the fawns blended nicely
in the foliage with their spotted coats.

You may have noticed that I described these things in a little
more detail than usual. You may think it is because I wanted to
practice my writing skills.. but no. The real reason is because
as I went to capture these priceless moments to share with my
friends..I noticed a message in my viewfinder..'NO MEMORY CARD'

This is the second time this year that this has happened.
And for someone that has eighty one zillion MB of memory
cards lying around it's inexcusable. It will not happen again !
Starting tomorrow I'm putting extra cards in my camera case...
In my truck... in my boat... in my tackle box and I'm thinking of
having one implanted in my forehead just in case !

So try to imagine the fog ...the mist.. the deer.. the mini mountains
in the clouds and enjoy !

BONUS: 'IF' I would have had a card in my camera I could
have shared the bonus footage of seeing me bury a treble hook
in my finger with a bass hanging on the lure flopping back and
forth embedding it deeper and deeper. Plus pictures of a fellow
bass club member tying a string around the hook and jerking
it out of my hand in one easy motion. (did I just say easy?)

In any case, I will remember memory cards next time and
get some pictures to share... hopefully without
the 'hook episode'
