Thanksgiving

For the first time, this year there was no family gathering.
Daughter couldn't get off to make the trip and son had to work.  So with just the two of us we decided why all the fuss.  Luckily our local Cracker Barrel was open for business.  Food was good but it sure wasn't homemade.. and just what is one to do for leftovers ?  Rest assured there will be a turkey.. dressing, cranberries and a pumpkin pie or two baked before the weekend is over.  Sure there were no dishes.. no fussing..no basting to do... but there was also no memories such as spilled drinks...begging dogs and family laughter either.  That will be remedied as a short ride from the restaurant to Krogers was the first order of business after dinner..Bread is drying for stuffing as I type....lol  I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving !
