Break time ....

Ahhhhh  I used to look forward to break time at work.  Then
it was to yack with the guys, eat some lunch, and tell some jokes
more than actually taking  a break.  Now days when I take a break
I seek just the opposite.  At least a couple times a year I like to sneak off
by myself for a day or two and just think.(dangerous thought I know)
This past weekend was my chance.. wife had a busy schedule
weather was supposed to be nice and I had nothing planned. Perfect.
Well I can't say I didn't have anything.. I did have two meetings I had
to attend but they would both be done by Sunday afternoon.  So I spent
the rest of the day with some good friends just riding at the club and
then everyone went home.  Everyone but me that is.  A nice fire
an old standby tent pitched and I settled in for the night.  It's
downright amazing how bright the stars are on a clear night when
you are out away from any light source so I took a little ride out
the ridge and just sit back on the bike and took in Gods show.
I would like to say I got a wonderful nights sleep, but I'd be fibbing
a bit.  The weather turned a little cool and bit of wind kicked up
which, If you are a 'bump in the night ' kind of person you won't
like the constant flapping of a nylon tent.  But to me It's just a different
type of lullaby.  After a 'brisk' night the weather cleared out and I
had an enjoyable day of riding.. fishing and just enjoying nature.
Just the break I needed.  Now if could just get Wi-Fi service out
there.   NOT !

Weather cleared out nicely, everything turning green....

Of course one needs to have coffee to start the day, sausage is optional.

A few nice black crappie were tricked with my fly rod, and of course my skill.

The other thing I should mention was the addition of  a new trailer to haul the
bike on.  I fought it as long as I could but climbing around on that truck loading
and unloading in the dark and bad weather just got the best of me.  Life needs to
be easier as we ahhhhh mature.  Don't ya think?
