It's a cycle. Unpleasant weather, I get bored. I get bored, I go online.
I get bored with social media, I shop. I shop, I buy too much. When
I buy too much, I get angry with myself. When I'm angry with myself
I go back online and try to read pleasant things to make myself happy again.
And you thought retirement life wasn't complex. Truth is writing
sometimes helps so I thought that even though I don't have anything
exciting to write about at the moment, I'd write this post anyway.
Sounds perfectly logical to me.
I'll start with a short three day trip to the country's largest model train show
last week. Great time with friends, great weather, a few camera issues
and internet Wi Fi issues but that's ok. All in all a great time. One side note
though, the elder (Mr. Information) member of our usual group couldn't
make the trip this time because of conflicting family plans. But it turned
out to be a good thing as on the day we returned he suffered a slight heart
attack at home. He now joins our 'stent club' but I'm happy to report he is
at home resting and doing fine.
Now to the shopping. Good 'ole E-Bay always there to fill all of my wants
and needs and along with my good friends at Pay pal they manage to keep
my bank account slim and trim. Found a few electrical items I needed for
the power conversion for the camper, a really neat IWB holster for my
concealed carry pistol and even some train parts I couldn't find last week.
Shopping complete !
So now it's back to the internet to get happy again. Not an easy task these
days. However I did find one very pleasant little site that I had seen several
times before but somehow this time it kind of struck a cord.

I don't know if it was the music or the message this time that mellowed my mood
but I know It sure helped smooth out the evening. Two lines in particular ...
"A rich person is not the one that has the most...
It's the one who needs the least"
How fitting ! I don't have much .. but I have all I need !
and the other...
It's amazing that two people can look at the same thing..
and see it differently!
So it is with my theory of interpretation and everyone’s right to
agree to disagree.
Ok.. I'm at peace now... nap time !
