What a world, what a world, what a world.
Our founding fathers would be turning over in their
graves if they could see the circus that (I'm sad to say)
our Nation has become. And No I'm not talking about
the shenanigans that go on daily inside the government.
I'm talking about the total disrespect for the people that
'we' elected in both parties that goes on in the Social Media
on a daily basis.
Working in a steel mill for 40 years I developed a sore
spot every time we had a breakdown on the line. The first
thing everybody did on the crew was ask what happened and
then try to lay the blame on someone for our misfortune.
IF the welder had did this or IF the operator had done that was
always the first topic of conversation. I have to admit at first
I played along but as the years passed I figured out that all
that blame and bickering did nothing to solve the problem.
The fact of the matter is the line is down and we aren't
making any money. From that day of my awakening I
decided that whoever caused the problem really didn't matter.
Fact is .. we are here for whatever reason and the only thing
that really makes sense is go forward. fix what is broken and
get going again. No bickering , no blaming, just fix it and go on !
Why oh why can't people see that ! The people of this country
remind me of my old crew ! Instead of brow beating our elected
officials why not use that energy to contact our representatives to
urge them to work together to fix the problems.  I am so sick of

seeing The 'Speaker' pouting, Nancy making sour faces, the
Prez in the wrong color suit and so on.  Everything Is a major
catastraphy.  I don't care if they wear cut off jeans and cry themselves
to sleep at night ,  JUST DO SOMETHING DURING THE DAY!!
It's like, Let's just make each other look like idiots and maybe the
people won't notice the Nation going to Hell in a hand basket !
Which brings me to the Social Media Problem.  I usually try to
ignore most of the political post.  Even though I was totally against
the wars during the Bush administration, They were this country's
leaders and I gave them the benefit of the doubt thinking they knew
more than I did. (turns out not so much)  I also disagreed with a good
bit of their economic ways (I think Regan proved ,money doesn't
'trickle' in the real world)   But I never once went to the extent of the
name calling and slandering that I see people doing today.  Even today
I have very different opinions of this presidents Religious views, gun
views and immigration views to the point that I find it really hard to
defend him.  BUT.  We're Here .. They are what we have !  We
(the people) voted for them.  Is it right to just sit back and do nothing
and hope they fail so we can say I told you so ?  All the while the country
suffers.   FIX THE PROBLEMS AND LET'S GET RUNNING !!!
I wonder if all of the people writing all of these negative post every day
ever give a thought as to how lucky they are to live in a country where
they can write these post without fear of retaliation ?  I understand that
everyone has the right to voice their opinion.  That doesn't mean it's
always the wisest thing to do.  An example of that is the 'Open carry' law.
Yes in our state ,and many others, one has the right to openly carry a
firearm.  But why would one want to draw that sort of attention to
themselves?  Personally I have a concealed carry permit and although I
do not carry all the time ... when I do I want to draw as little attention
to myself as possible.  Just because I have the right does not mean that
it is the wise thing to do.
People will always speak their mind on the social media and for the
most part that's a great thing.  I pray they never lose that right.  But
excuse me if, just like when I see a guy in Wall Mart with a .45 on his hip, I
chose to just simply walk away and shake my head.  (well most times anyway)   lol
