I wonder.........

   I WONDER.......

  I wonder who tells the cows when it's time to eat and sleep?
On a trip to the grocery store today I took an old country road
down off of the hill past several farms.  On my way down I
noticed almost every cow in the fields were eating grass.  After
I did my shopping and picked up pizza (another story) I
returned the same way.  Not one cow was eating.  Most were
just standing around making milk or whatever it is that cows do.
They can't all get hungry at the exact same time can they ?

I ALSO WONDER...

I wonder about the new math they are teaching.  I messaged my
wife as I was checking out at the grocery store and told her to
order a couple small pizzas at the local Pizza Hut from their
five dollar menu.  As I entered and picked up my order I find
there is a large cookie  with it.   Hmmm so much for healthy
eating .. pizza and chocolate.  Anyway the girls rings me up
and it comes to $22.37.  Now that's one good cookie.  So I
get home and  scream at and slap my wife (hey I can dream ..
right ?)  about not ordering off of the cheapskate menu and she
tells me she did. Says girl quoted her a total of $15.00 with
the magic cookie.  After a phone call I am told that the thick pan
crust my wife likes on hers is not available on the five dollar
pizzas.  That it is a dollar extra.  OK were up to $16.00. Now
I prefer thin and crispy crust so mine was no problem.  The
manager apologizes and says he is very sorry and if I drive
back down he will refund me three dollars.  Now when I went
to school 16+3 did not come out to $22.37 although I will
admit that was some years ago.  Guess I just need a 'new math'
refresher course.  I'll just finance it with my pizza savings......

I WONDER NO MORE ...

     Alas my mind was put at ease in at least one area over the
weekend.   Several weeks ago I ordered a few ferrocerium rods
off of the internet for fire starting.  Yes, I have a Bic lighter and
yes, I have matches but don't spoil my fun.  I had a project in
mind that I wanted to try.  I made handles out of various things
for them. One from a deer antler, one from a piece of Spruce
'fatwood' and so on. Then I wove some paracord lanyards for
each of them and fabricated some strikers out of old hardened
saw blades.  I was pleased with the results but as I was putting
them into the chest of never to be used projects of mine I
realized I had never seen these used except in some of the new
survival movies etc.  I wondered if they were just a modern day
marvel that we were led to believe was around back in the day ?
And then .. There it was On of all places Game Of Thrones.
I guy scraping what seems to be one of my personal rods and
starting a fire.  Now I really do have to research their origin although
I realize that show has it's own imaginary era.  lol

(Yes I lost another set of keys)... I'll try this different approach to carrying..
