Dream injury !!! Call 911...............

   So I think i may have set a new mark for injuries !
A couple days ago I spent an uneventful day at camp.
No grass cutting.. no hiking.. no wood splitting.. nothing
strenuous at all.  Simply lounged around.. did a little
fishing and ended the evening by the fire with one (count
'em) one adult beverage. and then headed home for a hot
shower and a good nights sleep.  Well we all know that
me and a good nights sleep have never gotten along so
sometime during the night I found myself and several
others trapped inside a very large draw string closure
type of bag of some sort in the back of a truck.  As we
fought and struggled to get out I remember giving one last
huge lunge that freed me from the bag. I then made my leap
to freedom over the tailgate.  I awoke out of breath and
physically beat but thought nothing of it.  After all it's not
exactly a rare occurrence with me.
    The problem came the next morning.  As I tried to get
up I realized that I could not stand up.  Pain shot through
my back and down my left leg.  As the morning progressed
my leg became numb except tor the constant tingling of
each and every nerve ending from my hip to my toes.  tried
hot showers.. I tried cold showers I tried ice packs and I
tried heating pads. nothing helped.  No position eased the
pain. I rolled around in bed all day in misery.  I took Advil
Tylenol Alieve and finally some left over pain pills from one
of my wife's previous knee surgeries.  Nothing helped.
So after another restless night (good thing was , no more dreams)
I awoke and started my regiment all over again but after the
second hot shower and third round of pills the heating pad started
to get some results.  So today I was able to pay bills..lay under pad
make myself some dinner.. lay under pad .. eat dinner.. lay under pad
and write this pity laden blog.  After which I will lay under the
heating pad for a bit then do dishes.  I have to be the only person
in history to be injured in a dream.  But then again I wouldn't
expect anything less from me.  I go all out at everything !!
