Hump day thoughts......

        Wife's out of town.. too much coffee.. brain is in overdrive
the gravity is so bad today I can't get up from this chair.  You Tube
videos are all caught up, old country music playlist is completed
dogs fed and housework done  What is left to do but ramble on
in this blog?  Well there is grass trimming to do but that can wait.
       First issue of the day is vacuum related.  Why can't they put
retractable cords on upright sweepers?  Having a thousand foot
cord on one is convenient when going room to room but a real
pain in the rear when four hundred feet of it are tangled around
ones feet. (see rant on earlier blog) while sweeping.  That is not
my beef today though.  My complaint today is that all one thousand
feet of cord must be dispersed in order to use the machine properly.
When done one must wrap this massive cable similar to the power
leads on a turbine at a hydroelectric power plant around two small
two inch plastic nubs for storage.  Both pins strategically placed as
to place the spine in an abnormal position causing excruciating pain.
Designers ... wake up !!!
     Second issue is political.  (skip if you've had your fill).   We blame
the media.. we blame the reporters.. we blame the leakers.. we blame
everyone.  If our POTUS  feels that picked on why can't somebody,
anybody convince him to simply take a day off from saying stupid
things?   I mean if your going to give them fresh ammunition every
day.. they're going to fire it at you !  Just take a day off.. set in your
office and color or read (I mean look at) Playboy books.  Don't bring
up things like the seventeen years the ACA has been failing or that
Lebanon is fighting back Hezbollah forces despite the fact that
the group is a key member of their coalition government.  And don't
turn an opportunity to encourage young scouts into a self serving
political rally.  If he could just stop saying stupid things maybe people
would stop thinking he is stupid !  He is his own worst enemy and nobody
in Washing has taken control of him.  I know the rights answer .. He's
a different kind of president and that's what we want!  Well I really
don't like seeing my country seen as a laughing stock day after day.
He stated yesterday at a rally that he might be the most 'Presidential'
president since Abe Lincoln.  Right after he cussed at the boy scouts.
Yep..Mt Rushmore stock for sure.........
         Perhaps my last issue has something to do with my next issue.
I am not sure what posts others can read on my FB page.  Yea I know
I can control it through settings but who has time for that.  I am normally
a quiet, reserved non political kind of guy.  But these are not normal
times.  I believe  I have run off a few friends with my occasional
political posts but I just so feel so much fear and dislike for the direction
our country is going right now that It is almost impossible for me to be
silent at times.  I think the hardest part for me is to read the comments
on some of the posts.  The hate .. the name calling .. the degrading of
each other.  And all of the 'If you don't agree.. keep your mouth shut'
statements.  As though these aren't bad enough it is even worse that
they are becoming acceptable and even promoted.  Being silent is not
an option for me.  I do have a few friends that I cherish too much to
engage with but the list is short.  Trust me I try but it builds inside me
to the point where the relief valve blows.  So I do understand I'm kinda
building a wall but I hope not a permanent one.  And I already know who
is going to have to pay for this one ?....
