Just my opinion.....

     If you have a small bag of Cheetos you may not want to open
them in a crowded room.  Now if there are just a few friends around,
then maybe it would be ok.   Same goes for a can of worms.   I am not
willing to face the bashing that goes on in public forums but since
there are only like five people that read this blog I'll take my chances.
   The subject of this blog is decency, or rather the lack of it.  Most of
you know my political views and almost all have opposing views.  I can
accept that and for the most part we have remained civil with each other
mostly out of respect.  We have had some pretty good disagreements (must
be the Kansas air) but managed to smooth things over.  One of my biggest
gripes is the fact that we have let this new wave of disrespect and nastyness
become acceptable.  I know ... It's a new world... it's a change we needed.. It'
something different.. I've heard all of the excuses.    Well it sucks!  Pardon
my French but I'm sick of everyday hearing our leader calling people petty
nicknames like a spoiled child.. I'm sick of politicians on both sides making
nasty statements about each other but mostly I'm sick of the enablers !  Yes
the people that defend these people for doing it.  When did  it become ok to
call people nasty names and threaten them in the comment sections of social
media?   It's like were living on the playground of a reform school.  And
people accept it !!!!!!!   It's the new way of life.  What ever happened to
having respect for one another?   We can't communicate without name calling
and degrading each other?   Not only each other but entire races, religions
and now even countries and continents!   And it's alright.  It's just the way
things are. Well It will never be that way with me.  Call me a snowflake if
you want but I am offended by this childishness.   It's not the way I was brought
up and I'm too old to change.   I try to ignore it but it is a constant daily thing.
And as long as we play into it , the worse it will get.  So to all of those who think
it's cute and alright to play into this new behavior enjoy it now.  As we turn
this country into a isolated 'us against the world' nation and forget why this
country was even established in the first place someday maybe someone in a
faraway place will be doing the name calling .. and I'm betting it won't feel
so 'ok' then..........................
