mmm.. What a tender boot !

OK ..It's time .

   I haven't jammed my foot into my mouth for sometime.
I guess it's time.  Whenever I start to talk politics I usually
do just that but by golly sometimes I think it just needs done.

Ok  now I feel better !  I just spent almost an hour writing
a gut -wrenching post about the government shutdown and
who is to blame,  and I think I solved most of the political
problems this country is in the midst of right now. Then I,
ever so cautiously,  highlight the entire post and deleted it.
Why ? Because It helped me understand the problem. 
And after all that is really all I can hope for.  My solutions
to the problems this country faces are oversimplified.  I
can't imagine the full scope and repercussions of what seem
like the obvious answers.  But I like to think I'm open minded
enough to listen to wiser people that may have some sort
of handle on the situation.  Ohh I'll stand my ground when I
know in my heart something isn't right as I did when I protested
in Washington in the seventies several times and stood
on picket lines in Cleveland and locally  in the eighties. 
But time has taught me that you can not change a persons opinion
if they think in their heart they are right just as they'll never change
mine in that situation.  I have friends on both sides of this
battleground and I would no more try to change the ones who
disagree with my thoughts any more than I would try to
water down the enthusiasm of those who go overboard on
ideas that I agree with. 
   So I guess I'm saying 'Have at it ' people  What will happen,
will happen.   All I ask is that we all take the time to say a Prayer
that we all come through this crisis stronger both as a country
and as friends.
