come on Baby..Let's do the twist

Time for some more Random Mini Thoughts ........

Bread wrappers
Is there anybody in the world (other than my wife)
that replaces the tiny twist ties on the bread wrappers
after opening?  I think it is common knowledge that the
proper method of resealing the loaf is to hold it by the
open top and spin the loaf, then tuck the end under the
loaf as you put it away.  Why can't people conform ?

Pack rat ...
At what point in my life did I get the reputation for
being a pack rat ?  I only save necessary stuff !  It's
gotten to the point where my friends won't dispose
of anything until they ask me if I want it.  Breaking
point came this weekend when one of my camping
buddies knocked on my door with a burnt out candle
jar and a empty paper towel cardboard roll and ask me
"Do you have a use for these ?" Sad thing is I took them.
Truth be known I make fire starters out of the cardboard
rolls and I was looking for a small glass jar to hold a tea
candle in a rustic barn wood sconce I had made.  So yep
I guess I'm a pack rat.

Peanut Butter Jars
Really , Is it wrong to buy peanut butter based on the
size of the container?  I use the containers to store small
amounts of salt, sugar and such in the camper.  Really
they are pretty nice containers.. air tight and such.  But
today as I was shopping I went to pick up peanut butter
and discovered the med size jars were on sale.  Now I
seldom pass up a sale but just this past weekend I had given
my last large empty jar to a little guy visiting a neighbor
at camp to put his 'lucky stones' in that he was finding in
a gravel pile.  (I still remember looking for lucky stones as
a kid)   So.. I felt compelled to pass up the good deal and
buy the larger size knowing that I will soon have a suitable
replacement for my large jar.  I know that may sound a bit
funny to some but after all I have two mediums and three
smalls already.  One must always look to the future !
