Ahh Bachelorhood ..........

I always here guys saying ."Yipeee.. the wife is going to out of town all weekend"
I have a few questions for those guys.   After living miles away for years, our children
have moved back closer to home.  What this ultimately means is, other than trips
involving home or auto repairs, I am usually the designated home watcher/dog sitter
during the wife's frequent weekend visits.  I guess most guys would find this as a
great  opportunity to have a fun filled /do as you please weekend.  And normally I
would too but I need a few questions answered first.
One of the first ones is.. Who runs the vacuum while your wife  is out of town?
We have three dogs and although the two Yorkie breeds are of the non-shedding
variety the yellow lab more than makes up for them.  Now I would be considered
a slob of a housekeeper by my wife's standards but I guess I am becoming sort of a
neat freak by association.  Dark brown carpet and yellow hair are not a good
combination.  I can not go two days without running the sweeper... I've tried .. It
can't be done.  Maybe I just like the little lines the wheels make on the carpet.  I
don't know .. I just know it has to be done.  And then there is the problem of the
littlest dog carrying in a tiny crab apple from the yard with every trip outside and
hiding it somewhere in the house.  Hide and seek with apples...ughhhh.
Next is dishes.  Even though I'm alone I still have to eat.  problem is I only know
how to cook vast amounts of food at any given time.  If my wife is gone three days
I will have enough leftovers in the fridge to feed a third world country for a week.
The byproduct of this is  after I'm done creating my masterpieces, eat and relax a
little,  there is a sink full of pots and pans that have to be washed.   Normally just
ignoring them and relying on my wife's 'No dish goes unwashed' philosophy takes
care of the problem.  Not so when your home alone.  Are there people that come
around and so this kind of stuff????   I need numbers.
Lastly, back to the dogs.  Are there professional dog feeders?  Ours eat at seven
AM and four PM.  This completely splits up my camping/fishing days.  Nothing like
having to leave a cozy campfire to run home and feed the dogs.  I guess it could be
worse.  I could have to leave a nice bar with a cold beer and a pretty lady to do it.
But I get in enough trouble without going that route  lol,
So if anybody has any ideas or phone numbers of agencies that can help drop me a line !
