Just a quick post to point out few of life's little
complications. At least for me..I'm thinking about putting
out a questionnaire on Face Book just to see if these
problems are mine alone or if others share them. I'm thinking
there has to be others in this boat with me.
Underwear....
Ladies , you can go get a snack while we guys discuss
this if you like. I'm not sure if anyone else does this but I like to
switch styles from time to time. I have my basic tighty whiteys...
my boxers.. and my boxer briefs. Each serve a different purpose.
After all 'Timmy and the Twins' need a little variety in their lives
too I think. What complicates matters is the placement of the
access port (or exit door) on the different styles. Whiteys pretty
much centered.. boxers high.. briefs lower right. There's no uniformity !
Not a problem in casual times but if your in a gun fight you need to
know where your holster is if you have to draw your gun quickly.
I think I'm going to write several of the manufacturers and see if we
can't get a panel together to develop some sort of standard. I will try
to keep you updated on our progress.
Zippers...
What happened to zippers? Back in the day we never had a
problem with zippers. Plastic zippers should glide great.. but no.. they
bind and catch util you pull off that little tab that's made of some kind
of biodegradable metal-like substance that disintegrates in a couple of
months after purchase. Almost every travel bag and gear bag that I own
has at least 2 of those tabs missing. Thank heaven for paper clips and
safety pins. And don't get me started on jeans !! My favorite jeans are
Members Mark from Sam's Club.. Only drawback ? Short zipper. All
of my Wrangler and Levi jeans have ample zippers.. not these. On second
thought maybe it's the placement. hmmm Maybe they are made for boxers
with the higher access port.. I'll have to look into that and do some measuring.
Shirt and hat sizes..
Why does this have to be so complicated? I wear a 2X shirt..
(yea I know That's big) Still I have to try on every shirt I buy.
Some are roomy and comfortable.. some are long in the sleeves.. some are
short in the sleeves and some fit me like the casing on a bratwurst. Recently
I found a denim shirt I really liked but it was a 3X . I decided to buy it and
if nothing else wear it as a cover up shirt. Wrong.. If I had a ridgepole I could
pitch a tent out of it and camp in it. It's only one size bigger people !!!!!!
As for hats.. One size fit's all is a blatant lie ! Maybe one size fits
all Koreans or Chinese people but not us hillbillies ! Those of us with normal
to larger brain pans are simply out of luck buying hats online unless we need
a new hat for our Ken doll. Again.. just use a ruler and set a standard.. It that
so difficult ?
In closing let me just say that with all the things going on in the world today
we really don't need all of these petty complications when they are so easy to
remedy. It's kinda sad that although I lost a ton of money in the market this week
had a couple of small health scares and almost lopped my head off with a chain saw
all I can think about is "What if I have to pee real quick ?" ,, Will my zipper perform
and where can I find a hat that fits to protect me from the sun? I need to be able
to concentrate on important issues like how I can alienate friends on Face Book and
You Tube and finding extra hours in the day to do the things I want to do without
losing any video viewing time. Who ever knew it would be so hard ??
