That's it .. I'm done!

      I think I've finally reached the point of no return.  Anyone who knows me knows I am not the Gentleman's Quarterly type of guy.  Never was .. Never will be.  BUT I did always try to make myself presentable when going out in public places.  Those that watch my videos on You Tube may not agree but that's not really 'out and about' I'm often a bit on the messy side and not always as well-groomed as I probably should be, but I do clean up fairly well when I make rare public appearances.   

      That was until recently.  The wife and I decided to go to the Stumptown Steam Threshers show in a small town near us.  Constant rain the night before had turned the venue into a giant mud bog. I was smart and wore waterproof hiking boots.  My wife being unaware of the conditions did not.  We avoided most of the bad places but still her shoes got ,shall we say, a little soiled.  I, on the other hand looked like a puddle jumper during the monsoon season.  I tell you this to lead into today's story

      Anybody that has watched some of my You Tube videos can attest to the fact that I can look a bit 'unkept' at times.  Trust me, nobody is more aware of this than I am.  Truth be told usually the filming of videos is a spur of the moment thing that occurs when conditions are just right.  ie nobody around to see or hear me talking to the camera  (I'm still way too self conscious for that )  Thus I seldom take time to tidy up try to look presentable.  I 've always stated that I am what I am and like it or not.. that's me 

     As I watch a lot of friends videos I see a wide range of creators in all sorts of lifestyles.  I try and put that aside and focus on the person or the message presented.  I hope most would afford me the same luxury.  Trust me I have learned a lot doing these videos.  It's not for the vain.  I have discovered that I am quite a bit more overweight that I thought.  I have absolutely no ass to speak of which makes for sloppy looking jeans.  I have the attention span and memory of a gnat and I need to be more aware of the background and surroundings in my videos.  Other than that I'm near perfect. (feel free to add any flaws i've forgotten in the comments) So as you see me stumbling through a video with my pants falling off, watching a squirrel off camera, or forgetting who I  am talking about,  just know that I am aware of it  and will do my best to edit it out BUT  It is me after all and as much as I'd like to ... I can't change that !
