I truly hate the feeling I get when I'm lost.
I sometimes get 'misplaced' when I'm hunting
a new area or fishing on an unfamiliar lake
but that's not the kind of 'lost' I'm talking about.
In those situations one must only calm down
and look the situation over and nine out of
ten times your senses will guide you back to
your starting point.
I'm talking about the having no idea what
the world is thinking kind of lost. That sounds sort of confusing in itself
so let me try to explain with a brief list.....
1) We have 70% of the worlds oil supply yet a hic-cup in the middle
East Sends our oil/gas prices through the roof
2) We had a president that they say lost the election the first time that
everyone hated and we replaced him with a president that
everyone hates and nobody says they voted for.
3) Were on the verge of economic disaster yet were still supporting
90% of the world including our enemies.
4) The government says we need to tighten our belts and cut back
but they exempt themselves from all of the programs they want
to eliminate or cut. and vote themselves raises every term.
5) After 9-11 we as a nation wanted revenge on the persons
responsible yet we now question the ways in which it was
carried out, and cast shadows on the persons involved for not
respecting this individuals rights and questioning if it was
right or wrong to kill an unarmed man. ( I simply ask.. How
many of the 3000 killed in the towers were armed that day)
So as I go through each day listening to reports of security leaks,
lost or misplaced Birth Certificates, billion dollar buyouts, trillion
dollar budget deficits, gays in the military. mis-behaving priests
I guess I have to take some satisfaction in knowing.....
If I truly am lost...I'm not alone. The whole world is right behind me !
