Breakfast club.....

Well today was the first meeting of our train gang
breakfast club without one of our original members.
We lost our train historian, our trip navigator and one
of the nicest men you could ever want to befriend last
week.  He was our senior member at 77 but probably
the youngest at heart.   I think Larry knew  every
variation of ever model train ever built.  He was our
'go to' guy on our fall train trip to verify every thing
we bought was original and up to standards.  He had
repaired many trains for me over the years when I
tried and failed.
One of his other duties was chief navigator on all
of our trips.  GPS had nothing on this guy.. he knew
shortcuts that hadn't been paved yet.
Although he will be sadly missed I refuse to be
sad about his passing.  He lived his life doing exactly
what he wanted to do.  And always had a smile while
doing it .  I was honored to work to work with him for
almost thirty years and spend the last fifteen years
chasing trains across the country with him...
RIP buddy.. See ya at the station someday !
