Still a kid........

         Something hit me while watching a cartoon with my
granddaughter the other morning.   The cartoon was about
a little kid losing a tooth and placing it under their pillow
for the tooth fairy to find and leave vast sums of money in
place of the lost body part.
         This got me to think of how we ,as kids, had so many
mythical beings to believe in.  The tooth fairy, the  Easter
Bunny, the sandman and even Santa.  The amazing thing is
we believed wholeheartedly, without reservation and were
almost always rewarded for our belief.  Sure Santa didn't
always bring 'exactly' what we wanted but we were assured
the gifts he brought were better for us in the long run.  Even
the Easter Bunny would slip in white chocolate now and then
just to help us appreciate the milk chocolate bunnies a little
more.  Of course I believe the Tooth Fairy scheme was an
independently owned business.  Rewards for lost teeth seem
to be based more on it's nearness to payday than any standardized
rate of pay.  Still we believed.. and were rewarded.
      I was missing that part of my youth while watching that cartoon
until I realized..  I still have it !    Our dreams and wishes are much
larger now but still,  If you truly believe, your dreams and wishes
will be fulfilled.   Sometimes ,like Santa, It may not come in a way
that you pray for, but now as when you were small, it will come in
ways that are better in the long run.   Sometimes it is hard to
understand and confusing.. but if you truly believe and trust, you
will know Father Knows Best.    So we may not have all of the
sub divisions that kids have but we do have the one Almighty
power that can handle any problem or loss we can hand him....
If we believe strong enough.. we will be rewarded................
