Freedom .. frosty freedom !!!

Believe it or not I'm out !  They tried , but they couldn't
break my will.  I finally made it out into the great outdoors.  An
what a great time I had.  That is other than making a big mess of
our back yard and almost getting the truck stuck in the snow a
couple times. but that's a small price to pay.  As far as the yard
it is just rutted up snow, no real damage.  I underestimated the
amount of snow and had a terrible time getting the four wheeler
from the shed to the driveway.  The once pristine sparkling snow
covered yard now looks like we hosted a demolition derby in it
but that will all go away with the next thaw.(or snowfall).  My
next obstacle to my escape was the trailer jack frozen into the
ground.  But refusing to be denied I chipped and pounded it to
freedom. Once loaded the problems seemed to simply melt away.
After a pleasant ride to the club I made another  startling discovery.
When you put an eight hundred pound bike on a seven hundred pound
trailer and hook it to the rear of a two wheel drive truck It takes on the
form of an anchor when driving on snow covered roads.   Once unloaded
though and on the trails it was a great time.  Having not seen much
activity since deer season the wildlife was in more of a relaxed state.
We saw Deer, Turkey, pheasants and all sorts of critters along the trail.
Arriving at one of the ponds and boring some holes we found
six inches of good ice.  More than enough to safely fish on, skate on,
ride 4 wheelers on, (not mine of course.. I'm staying on land) or
anything else one may want to do.  Everything except catch fish that is.

Yea the fishing was a little slow, but that's ok
we caught a few bass and a couple bluegill
out of the two ponds we fished.  We never
keep any of them .. we just take them out of
the water for a bit, take their pictures, give them
an autographed, waterproof copy of their selfie
and send them back through the hole to their
frigid little world.

Good sized bluegill

Even the catfish like to eat in the winter

This one insisted we let her suntan her belly before we forced her back !
