Everyone has some regrets in their life. Luckily
most of them are not monumental things that cause
daily despair and grief, but simple things that we wished
we had done differently.
Speaking metaphorically I'll use my first bike as an
example. I'm sure it wasn't my first bike but it was the
first new bike that i can remember. I loved that bike..
well as much as a person that young thought he knew
about love. Let's just say cherished instead. I was
consumed by it throughout most of my day. But as I
look back now I regret not taking full advantage of the
opportunities it offered. Fearing the chance of breaking
it I never rode it as fast as I could have.. never jumped
the jumps the other kids did and never ran through the
deep puddles like everyone else. My regret now is that
I don't have those memories. I missed the thrills. I can't
look back and remember what it felt like to experience
a lot of those things.
I've had several bikes after that one and have quite a
few wonderful memories of them. But I will always wonder
what that jump or mud puddle would have been like on
that first new bike. #ramblingmindsscareme
