After reading back through my blog post I discovered
a gray cloud hovering over my posts. That's not what
I intended this blog to be like. I guess that although I have
had very little to complain about, I have been a bit depressed
these last couple months. No particular reason just a
collection of little things that sort of sneak into ones brain
and refuse to leave. Well I'm going to make a conscious effort
to correct that as of right now. Nobody wants to read my soul
searching self pitying posts I'm sure. Maybe I'll start another Blog
just for those type of posts to read when someday I'm so happy
I'm $h--ing butterflies and pi$$in' rainbows just to bring myself
back down to earth. But for here and now I'm .. keepin' it lite '
Things I've learned this week ....
A) Never carry two logs to the fire in the dark when you have
four foot long two foot thick sandstone bench between the
woodpile and the fire.
B) When bandaging ones shins do not use the extra sticky surgical
tape to secure the gauze. (extra caution if one has hairy legs)
C) When you know a person has completely opposite views on
practically every issue under the sun from yours from hunting
ethics to deer harvest to politics and everywhere in between, It
is not wise to have a few adult beverages and engage in lenghty
conversations right before retiring for the night.
D) I discovered my blood pressure medicine really does work.
E) I discovered that not many people are up all night on Social
media to talk to. Hint 3 to 5 am is a real dead spot.
F) I discovered that Taurus Firearms has their own very unique
definition of 'Lifetime Warranty'
G) I discovered that I am not as good at controlling my temper
on the phone as I once prided myself in .
H) Finally just a few minutes ago I discovered that It's not wise
to put a ham and cheese sandwich in a Panini maker on high
and go to make coffee.
I) I also discovered my smoke detector works fine..
Now to the average outsider this may sound like a disastrous week
but to me it is an average week packed full of learning experiences.
I am soooo much smarter for it ! The way I look at it I'm whittling
down the list of things I can screw up on later in life. That is as long
as I learn from these mistakes (not likely).
Well I'd better go.. I may start on that other gut wrenching 'poor poor
pitiful me' blog later today. Maybe I can clean out my head and store
everything there and save the open space for happier thoughts............
