It's going to be a long long long winter ! If my recent
actions are any indication of the future.. I'm in for a long winter.
Something happened to my internal thermostat this past summer.
Either the hot weather reprogrammed it or it simply wore out.
Seventy degrees isn't seventy degrees any more. I have the
thermostat set on sixty eight and I 'm wearing sweat pants and a
hoodie. And as soon as I'm done typing here I'll be in the recliner
with my faithful warm dog and my old man lap blanket.
Sad part is it's the middle of archery season for deer, rabbit
season is in and we just released two big flocks of pheasants at the club.
And here I set lacking any motivation what so ever. Oh the times they
are a changing Back in the day I would be at camp drying wet clothes
cleaning game and cleaning guns for tomorrow's hunt. Yet here I set
tippy tapping on this machine and thinking of a nap.
I did get a couple hobby related things done today. A friend needed
some trees for his train layout so I managed to whip him up a dozen or
so. In doing so I made a mess on the washing machine downstairs (hobby
bench was too cluttered to work on) and got immediately scolded by my
wife. You would think I had been told before about not doing things on
there. If so I don't recall..
Anyway just to keep out of trouble I think I'll grab one of the four books
I've started and do a little reading (usually translates into napping after
about six pages. Then again ... I can't get into trouble if I'm sleeping.........
